All reconditioned automatic gearboxes are supplied with a reconditioned or new torque converter. We also supply reconditioned torque converters as loose units. 

The torque converter is a vital element in the automatic gearbox system. All of the engines power is passed through the torque converter before driving the transmission. As a result they suffer a high amount of wear and are the start of many automatic gearbox faults. 

At Cajas Automaticas Transmatic we have our own dedicated torque converter remanufacturing department. All torque converters are opened and meticulously checked and rebuilt to original or higher standards. Any torque converter deemed to be beyond repair is replaced with a reconditioned or new one.
